I began doing research at 16 at the American University of Beirut, under the mentorship of Dr. Shady Awwad. After moving to Boston, that path continued at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, where I joined Dr. Leo Kim’s lab and began pursuing questions spanning retina, translational therapeutics, and clinical vision science. Along the way, I’ve also had the privilege of pursuing collaborative investigations with Dr. Mohammad Dahrouj at Mass Eye and Ear and with Dr. Kimberly Samaha through the Born Global Foundation.

The work below primarily reflects studies that have been published and shared publicly. Several ongoing investigations remain undisclosed for now as we continue working to push the boundaries of investigative and translational medicine.
